The “Make It on Mobile” illustration Project is a hands-on learning and creative experience for students in Design II. I will be a leader in establishing a creative culture for the design program and am expected to be at the forefront of modern and new workflows in illustration, photography and design. I chose principles that may describe the way I work and/or ignites my creative inspiration. I then visually represent a phrase and brought my own twist to the original ideas. I was tasked to use iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, and given the chance to learn about Adobe's latest advancements in powerful mobile app technology. I worked individually as well as collaboratively to make an amazing project come to life.
Starting to brainstorm, I picked two quotes that I would like to use as possibilities.
After picking my quote: Lord, let them see you in me, I start to brainstorm several format ideas.
I now start to work with typography.
This idea is one of the three I settled on. it focuses less on the quotes, but more on the variety and style of the illustrated eyes.
This is the second of the three and has a more distinctive style to it. Rather than illustration, it has more of a stamped look.
This is my third idea and defiantly my favorite. For me, it combines the best elements of my other ideas (the large eye and typography) and incorporates the hands of the sistine chapel which ties in more biblical perspective.
Starting to develop colors, I move the type around and start to finalize the end layout.
This is the finished product! I am very happy with how it turned out and I love how the colors, style and biblical perspective move together in this digital piece.
