Treatment Centre is the future for a significant proportion of modern healthcare provision,
and we have striven to capture this forward looking modern feel in an integrated design
approach to the St Helens site.

The new £100m diagnostic and treatment centre has been designed around a dramatic
central atrium which makes the whole building intuitively easy to understand. The DTC is
then linked to the intermediate care complex via a bridge link with the new intermediate
care wards being designed to mirror the pleasing aesthetic of the new wards just
completed on site. The aim has been to provide an integrated campus of buildings
providing an efficient and flexible facility for the Hospital.
