Today’s contemporary youths are all tied into the online web. The internet and new age online digital media has made youths both empowered and dependent on it. Youth’s are empowered with knowledge and information readily available at their fingertips, coming to them at the speed of light, connecting them with knowledge that the elder generations wouldn’t be able to get so easily in the past. This allows our youths today to be more aware and have the ability to choose for themselves the lives they want to lead, the paths they wish to follow and who they choose to be. Lighting up their paths for the future.

 

However, dependency has also become an issue for today’s youths. Their self need to be plugged into the internet and their reliance on digital technology has left some youths disabled when such technology fails or isnt available.  Our image hopes to capture both the power and dependency of the youths in this day and age.
