We are so lucky to live in a time when you can buy alizarin crimson and cerulean blue in tubes-
imagine the Old Masters grinding away forever to get brown... 
I once found a quote to the effect that in every painting, there is a place
where the artist fell in love with the work- i don't know who said that but i think it is true.
For me, my paintings are like visual places that are 'other' to
the mundane state of being- a journey taken without having to leave the room,
as in meditation or prayer.

the diagonal lines are the reason that you should never photograph behind glass-oh well, it
