This illustration was created for TOR.com's short story, More Real than Him by Silvia Park. The story talks about a hyper-realistic robot and the motif of its creator.

Since it is to be published digitally, one of my sketches that I created was a gif, showing what is hidden beneath the beautiful skin of the hyper-realistic robot.

The next sketch was then developed, inspired by the tone of the story. It started out as a 'naughty' and chick-flick-ish. So, I wanted to present the robot the way he was vulgary stored in his creator's bathroom.

However, the story then began to be more emotional and mysterious, which led me into developing this third illustration. My concern was that I feel this concept is giving away too much about the story.

Finally, I decided to create something that is more conceptual. The layers of different head represent the complicated premise of why and how the Robot was created.
