Featuring a photograph of myself- during trend research I discovered that more and more business cards are featuring images of the person behind the name. I think it gives the business an individual feel and reminds the consumer that there is a person behind all the work.

I liked the idea of featuring a piece of my work predominantly on the card. The photo includes my feet- again creating an individual style. I kept the logo and text a lot simpler allowing the image to solely grab the attention of the consumer.

The design ideas featured 3 photographs I had taken and then formatted using the Polamatic app. The polaroids give the work a relaxed feel and I liked the 'scrapbook' inspiration that I had also discovered was popular whilst researching graphic trends.

I decided to use a pastel colour palette after doing some trend research into surface design on WGSN. I would love to get the design printed onto a circular piece of PVC/acrylic, as I believe this would stand out amongst other cards.

Using a big and bold font makes my type become more prominent, and easier to read. These are essential factors when applying text to a business card. I want people to remember my name and make sure it is the first thing they notice when they look at the card.
