Haarlem Market Square or Grote Markt - is the central market located in front of the world famous St Bavo church also known as Grote Kerk. fortunately for us, the day we were in Haarlem, it was one of their local events, which meant all museums and exhibits didnt take an entry fee . also got to witness the bustling market square in all its glory, people selling everything from cheese to sausages, fresh fruits to stroopwaffels, and everything in between. we walked around the church to get different perspectives of the street and market. the streets have a ton of restaurants and cafes and gift shops and designer boutiques. 

we stopped at a cafe to sample the locally made beer "Jopen"
