About the font
In Bangla, Bidyasagar style font (Sutonny MJ) created by Bijoy is the only Bangla font that is almost perfect. Rest of the fonts has problems such as baseline alignment, x-height alignment, character gap and unfinished characters. If we analyze the logic of Bijoy, we see that other than Bidyasagar (Sutonny MJ), rest of the fonts does not work perfectly with Bijoy. All Bangla fonts are ‘monospace’ fonts which does not use kerning. Creating kerning feature fonts which will run in Bijoy platform is technically impossible. It is because; Bijoy using those Unicode glyphs conflicts with ‘kerning code’.
With the problem in hand, I have attempted to design and create a finished, perfect curve font with perfect baseline and x-height alignment, which will run smoothly with Bijoy.
Study
If you observe every glyphs of the font you will find that, there is no hard curve, all are soft and rounded. After analyzing, we can make a decision that, all glyphs are inspired from a basic shape and that is “Rounded rectangle”. Even the start & end point of calligraphic path is not sharp, it is also rounded.
