Where the goods we find everyday in our cities are from?
H30 Pink focuses on a rose and its journey, discovering that beyond this natural product there is something more than a simple gesture of love. A journey that begins in Milan, proceed to Holland and eventually head to Kenya. The shore of Lake Naivasha are a unique opportunity for the flower industry and the local community, but on the other side the production puts a lot of pressure on the environment. How could we preserve the ecosystem and let a poor country develop?
Climate change requires a new awareness of the objects around us. The book reveals what’s behind an ephemeral good, letting us know what a flower petal is made of: all the sun, the water and the problems of Africa.
