Objective

ESC Region 11 offers professional development (PD) to school district personnel who directly impact student learning. The design lab was created to assist our staff with enhancing their PD offerings by creating a process through which they understand our school districts' needs, utilize adult learning practices, identify learning outcomes, and integrated targeted supports for specific student groups. Our logo design has the overall shape of a light bulb, representing the creation of new, innovative ideas.

The Design Lab utiliz es impact measures that guide our staff members' planning so that the professional development they offer can be measured for effectiveness. Within the light bulb are icons that are aligned with our professional learning framework to include the following steps for effective learning: Activate, Experience/Discover, Apply/Practice, Create/Share, and Measure Impact. Our staff focuses on these steps as they plan a dynamic, engaging professional development experience.
