Zwuup! Branding

Zwuup! is Safaricom’s messaging app that Lets you keep up with family and friends as well as move money. It was named and branded as Bonga for several months. After doing some on ground research, a rebrand was however necessary before going to market. Our client, Safaricom, wanted to retain the brand and app colours. The only change was the name from Bonga to Zwuup!The name Zwuup! was inspired from the notification sound that denotes a successfully sent message. Zwuuuuup! We therefore embarked on coming up with a new identity of the brand that will reflect the changes.
Our Role
We were to design and develop a new identity for Zwuup! that reflected this change. All brand collateral was also to be designed; from the app splash screen to social media cover photos.
