I was commissioned by the city of Rennes to embellish 13 shops' fronts while they will be renovated in the historic center. I decided, in collaboration with Raphael Auvray, a professional photographer, to create gigantic portraits of hermines. This noble animal is the symbol of the city. With shading and lighting we worked on creating the illusion that the hermines are really inside the buildings. I hope that you'll like these lovely faces.

As the hermine is a very rare and protected animal, it was impossible to bring one to the photo studio. Instead, we worked with white furets, whose morphology is very close the hermines'. Here is the transformation process :
