This program was prepared for the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster. Interviews, previously undisclosed documents, expertise, medical reports, analytics.

At 01:23:47 on Saturday April 26, 1986, an explosion occurred at the 4th unit of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which completely destroyed the reactor. A fire started in various rooms and on the roof. Subsequently, the remains of the core melted, a mixture of molten metal, sand, concrete and fragments of fuel spread over the subreactor rooms. The accident resulted in the release of radioactive substances into the environment, including isotopes of uranium, plutonium, iodine-131 (half-life - 8 days), cesium-134 (half-life - 2 years), cesium-137 (half-life - 30 years ), strontium-90 (half-life - 28.8 years).
