I could not imagine my life without the magical saga of Harry Potter, which inspired me for this project.
I divided the saga into two parts and I made two illustrations per book.
This first part includes only: the Philosopher's Stone, the Chamber of Secrets and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Hogwarts Express
“«Go on, have a pasty» said Harry, who had never had anything to share before or, indeed, anyone to share it with. It was a nice feeling, sitting there with Ron, eating their way through all Harry's pasties, cakes, and candies (the sandwiches lay forgotten). [...]
The rat was still snoozing on Ron's lap.
«He might have died and you wouldn't know the difference» said Ron in disgust. «I tried to turn him yellow yesterday to make him more interesting, but the spell didn't work. I'll show you, look...»
He cleared his throat.
«Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow, Turn this stupid, fat rat yellow.»
He waved his wand, but nothing happened.”

Norbert
“The egg was lying on the table. There were deep cracks in it. Something was moving inside; a funny clicking noise was coming from it.
They all drew their chairs up to the table and watched with bated breath.
All at once there was a scraping noise and the egg split open. The baby dragon flopped onto the table. It wasn't exactly pretty; Harry thought it looked like a crumpled, black umbrella. Its spiny wings were huge compared to its skinny jet body, it had a long snout with wide nostrils, the stubs of horns and bulging, orange eyes.
It sneezed. A couple of sparks flew out of its snout.
«Isn't he beautiful?» Hagrid murmured.

The Whomping Willow
“Ron let go of the steering wheel completely and pulled his wand out of his back pocket—
«STOP! STOP!» he yelled, whacking the dashboard and the windshield, but they were still plummeting, the ground flying up toward them—
«WATCH OUT FOR THAT TREE!» Harry bellowed, lunging for the steering wheel, but too late—
CRUNCH.
With an earsplitting bang of metal on wood, they hit the thick tree trunk and dropped to the ground with a heavy jolt. [...]

«Are you okay?» Harry said urgently.
«My wand,» said Ron, in a shaky voice. «Look at my wand—»
It had snapped, almost in two; the tip was dangling limply, held on by a few splinters.
Harry opened his mouth to say he was sure they’d be able to mend it up at the school, but he never even got started. At that very moment, something hit his side of the car with the force of a charging bull, sending him lurching sideways into Ron, just as an equally heavy blow hit the roof.
«What’s happen—?»
Ron gasped, staring through the windshield, and Harry looked around just in time to see a branch as thick as a python smash into it. The tree they had hit was attacking them.”

Polyjuice Potion
“«Hermione, come out, we’ve got loads to tell you»
«Go away!» Hermione squeaked.
Harry and Ron looked at each other.
«What’s the matter?» said Ron. «You must be back to normal by now, we are»
But Moaning Myrtle glided suddenly through the stall door. Harry had never seen her looking so happy.
«Ooooooh, wait till you see» she said. «It’s awful»
They heard the lock slide back and Hermione emerged, sobbing, her robes pulled up over her head.
«What’s up?» said Ron uncertainly. «Have you still got Millicent’s nose or something?»
Hermione let her robes fall and Ron backed into the sink.
Her face was covered in black fur. Her eyes had turned yellow and there were long, pointed ears poking through her hair.
«It was a c-cat hair!» she howled. «M-Millicent Bulstrode m-must have a cat! And the p-potion isn’t supposed to be used for animal transformations!»
«Uh oh» said Ron.
«You’ll be teased something dreadful» said Myrtle happily.”

Aunt Marge
“«You are an insolent, ungrateful little »
But Aunt Marge suddenly stopped speaking. For a moment, it looked as though words had failed her. She seemed to be swelling with inexpressible anger -- but the swelling didn't stop. Her great red face started to expand, her tiny eyes bulged, and her mouth stretched too tightly for speech -- next second, several buttons had just burst from her tweed jacket and pinged off the walls -- she was inflating like a monstrous balloon, her stomach bursting free of her tweed waistband, each of her fingers blowing up like a salami...
«MARGE!» yelled Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia together as Aunt Marge's whole body began to rise off her chair toward the ceiling. She was entirely round, now, like a vast life buoy with piggy eyes, and her hands and feet stuck out weirdly as she drifted up into the air, making apoplectic popping noises. Ripper came skidding into the room, barking madly. «NOOOOOOO!»
Uncle Vernon seized one of Marge's feet and tried to pull her down again, but was almost lifted from the floor himself.
A second later, Ripper leapt forward and sank his teeth into Uncle Vernon's leg.”

The Grim
“Ron peered into Harry's teacup, his forehead wrinkled with effort. «There's a blob a bit like a bowler » he said. «Maybe you're going to work for the Ministry of Magic...»
He turned the teacup the other way up.
«But this way it looks more like an acorn... what's that?» He scanned his copy of Unfogging the Future. «'A windfall, unexpected gold.' Excellent, you can lend me some. And there's a thing here,» he turned the cup again, «that looks like an animal... yeah, if that was its head... it looks like a hippo... no, a sheep... »
Professor Trelawney whirled around as Harry let out a snort of laughter.
«Let me see that, my dear» she said reprovingly to Ron, sweeping over and snatching Harry's cup from him.
[...]
Everyone was staring, transfixed, at Professor Trelawney, who gave the cup a final turn, gasped, and then screamed. [...]
«My dear,» Professor Trelawney's huge eyes opened dramatically, «you have the Grim.» [...]
«The giant, spectral dog that haunts churchyards! My dear boy, it is an omen -- the worst omen -- of death!»”
