M&C Saatchi Abel wanted a calendar that would stay interesting throughout the year becasue by March, most people kept removing their company calendars off their desks. The team decided to design a 3D puzzle calendar that contained a different animal for each month of the year. Each animal has it's own write-up that resonated with the company values.

While limited to a black white CI, patterns were created that spoke to each animal.
The patterns were designed to still look like abstract artworks before the shapes were popped out to create the animals.

The instructions for how to build each animal were sent out at the beginning of the month they belonged to. As a result, everyone anticipated using their calendars and waited to build their new little animal to place on their desk at the beginning of each month. Walk through M&C at any time this year, and you're guaranteed to see these little beasties on peoples desks

This one earned a bronze at Loeries 2018.
