The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, also referred to as Tochō for short, houses the headquarters of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, which governs the 23 wards of Tokyo, as well as the cities, towns and villages that constitutes the whole Tokyo Metropolis. we were fortunate to have a very nice gentleman volunteer to take us around the building as a personal guide and even back then in 2016 they had fully prepared for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. the building is massive and the observation desks at the 45th floor is free for public and has a few gift shops and restaurants as well.
the building has been featured several times in Japanese Godzilla movies and is currently the third tallest building in Tokyo
