Initial Sketches

before starting the sketched, My client explained to me how he Carries around this little Thor keychain and that its basically an "extension of himself" and would love if that were to be used in the main body of the design, hence the name "hammerfall films" 

After many hours of sketching, I came up with two main ideas, one being the Hammer itself incorporated in a standard banner and Loral design, or. I looked further into the design of the keychain and saw that it had in the very centre, a triquetra I believe that this may have been the way to go, it still holds a very personal value to the client as it is the "heart" of the hammer yet it also looks minimal enough that its not too in your face when it comes to public presentation as a corporate image.

After some discussion, we agreed that the Minimalistic Triquetra was the way to go, It held personal value but still looked professional and bold. 

Colour Experimentation 

From what you can see, we went through many many different colour variations, varying from solid colours, to gradient to underlays to outline, to outlines with gradients. originally the colour pallet was inspired by the colours of a thunder and lighting (in reference to Thors hammer) hence the purple and blue gradients, eventually though we gave up on this idea in pursuit of other ideas that might look better.

After some polishing, we finally settled on a couple of ideas regarding and alternative, more minimalistic design as well as a a new typeface, this one holding the aesthetic of the old norse theme, this again being a call back to the idea of basing this design around Mjölnir - Thor's hammer, Thor being a ancient/god like hero based loosely off of norse mythology, this only seemed right.
