Art and society: the nervous system as a priority ecosystem.
The current development of the media deeply bears on the human nature and psychology because it bears on language, which is, due to its active presence into the brain and into the nervous system in general, the main element of biological and organic information processing. [D. De Kerckhove, 2009].

expanded ecosystem in which biosphere ( natural environment ) and info-sphere ( artificial environment ) are continuously interconnected through theme of electricity .
The language comes off the body, it is turned into sign, it gets in the network of global virtual communication, becoming merchandise of informational exchange, until it submits to the anesthetizing flow of cognitive communicative capitalism.
Man is losing his capability of emotional connection between signifier and signified of the word. This process, in the course of human evolution, has its origins in the experience of contact with the body of the mother when the infant is completly dependent of his body and of the sound of his voice.
As a mother gives her voice and body to let language birth, so an artist can do it with new media language. Art is the main resourse to esplore the actual epistemolgic crisis, finding new dinamic paradigms to manage society.
As artistic group we are esploring the relationship between art and society in the digital era with particular attention to the nervous system as the main ecosystem for a new media language birth.

CONCEPT Scripta Volant.
“Present evolution has gone beyond the limits of a human-oriented civilization because the limits of human knowability and controllability have been surpassed”. [Franco Berardi Bifo, 2011]
The installation Scripta Volant is an expanded typewriter, composed by analogical keyboard and “digital ink”.
The opera performs the communicative man-machine shot-circuit, linked to the transition from the analogical word to the digital one, a crisis amplified by the huge multiplication of communication tools and by the quantity of informational flow we are daily submitted to. The interactive system of Scripta Volant is designed following pathological features of the disorder of written and oral language, currently catalogued as agraphia, that is the incapacity in express their own thoughts by writing. Particularly Scripta Volant refers to apraxic agraphia, according to which a subject isn’t capable of writing with the pen but he is able to do that with a keyboard of a typewriter.
Nowadays, the democratic illusion tied to the expansion of the media, reveals that whenever we push our fingers on the buttons of a keyboard connected to a computer in order to communicate, we aren’t actually operating on the world through the thought turned into words and signs.
The limitations of the relationship between human language and digital one, dig a gap between real (biological) and virtual (digital), revealing the virtual reality (culture) concept as an illusion to hide a new history of fractures, marginalization and exclusion, where the “power of language” is used to control individual and collective subjectivity. Digital communication is hardly able to yield thoughts capable of changing “things” through “words”. With Scripta Volant is possible to write the flow of digital though on a paper sheet and seeing the hidden part of communication: the pathological cognitive process caused by the leak of emotional power and trust in the language determines a chaotic and entrophic accumulation of signs and symbols wich sense and direction are goings to overpass human capability to manage it.
What we can see is that some cognitive processes actually categorized as pathological disorders, can became standard paradigm for digital society’s humans.
