CBT Nuggets - UI/UX Contributions for multiple devices.

OVERVIEW

CBT Nuggets is an online training platform focused on IT professionals. It was founded on 1999 based on the core values of respect for people and their time, friendly and direct communication, a genuine passion for what we do, and an emphasis on continual improvement.

CBT and Tiempo Development (the company I currently work) became partners at some point with about 60 software engineers working remotely. Since there were plans about improve the overall learning experience and implement new stuff, one designer and myself had the opportunity to remotely join and support the product design team who was based on Eugene, Oregon. This team was composed by about 12 members: Design lead, UI/UX Designers, UX Researcher, Content strategist and graphic designers.

I had the opportunity to work as a UI/UX Designer for 2 main projects and tasks as demmand, also as a design leader from Tiempo’s internal side.

For all my work during CBT, I worked closely with a product owner, development team, and the design team. Even if each designer was assigned to a specific project or task, we always worked as a team by making internal demos and agreeing the best solution that matches current design guidelines, insights from user testing/research, current experience and business goals. One of my biggest contributions was to anticipate and detect all posible use cases, in order to support the whole team to have accurate estimation and have a better experience.
