A couple of years back, in my other guise as a painter I did a commission for Greg Graffin, lead singer of the seminal punk band Bad Religion. You can see the painting here.
In the middle of working on the painting, Greg called me and asked if I could quickly throw together some sketches for his book cover. He wasn't pleased with what the art department at Harper Studio had presented him with. I suggested he get in touch with Chip Kidd, who happens to own a hoodie from my outfit TypographyShop http://typographyshop.com/
I managed to get the two of them together but nothing ensued so I was elected to explore a few treatments. In the end the designers at Harper's created the final cover, but elements I'd proposed did end up in them.
