Legend says nearly 500 solar cycles ago these X3 human hybrid warriors were created for the sole purpose to crush the “Hunters”. An advanced race who’s sole purpose was to hunt other races simply for sport. None could match their prowess in battle. None until these X3 models were created. It is long forgotten what makes up an X3 human hybrid warrior. Some say a random soldier got lucky and successfully killed a “Hunter” and its DNA was used as part of the formula. The legend goes on to say the X3 was developed by the nine races at the time. All suffered at the hands of the “Hunters” so they stopped their own petty wars to work together to end the “Hunter” plague. X3s were rumored to be lethal by age 12 and rarely lived beyond the age of 16 in combat. 

Many still doubt these X3s or the “Hunters” ever existed as evidence of either’s existence cannot be found. Those that believe say it is because the X3s accomplished their mission and wiped out all the “Hunters”. 

But then what happened to the X3s? Many theories have surfaced by fans of this legend. Some believe the X3s knew they could not function in regular society so most sacrificed their lives so they would never be used against the nine races in war. Others believe some did not go quietly and went rogue. These had to be hunted by their own brothers still loyal to the nine races.  

Then where are these remaining few? The “Unity of the Nine Races” has long since collapsed so no one knows. But rumor has it a scavenger once found a cryo-pod floating in deep space containing what looked like a young human boy no older than 12 or 13 with a tail, believed to be a result of the fused DNA of X3s. Painted on the inside of the pod’s glass, in eleven different ancient languages, possibly by the boy’s own hand, are the words
