Ioannina is the capital of Epirus and one of northern Greece's most atmospheric cities, set on the western shore of the lovely Lake Pamvotis.

The Byzantine Museum of Ioannina, with the Fethiye Mosque in the background, in the old citadel (Its Kale), is one of the wonderful museums of Ioannina.
