Continuing the idea of tying JavaScript to SVG's, can we work with maps as well? Can we load up SVGs that tie to JS calls that can then affect a map, and can we use JS and/or SVG to create map overlays?

I was able to find Leaflet.js, which handles loading maps and overlaying graphics and shapes through JS. Then next step is trying to create interaction between this library and SVGs utilizing JS function calls.

These were used as example products for students in a short course focusing on Game Design and Mechanics in Pokemon Go that promote cooperation and less hostility in the user base than often found in game communities. Final product for students was to create a product that would be beneficial for the community.
