Nicholas Grafia (DE, *1990, Angeles City, Philippines) holds an MFA from the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and graduated in 2019 in the class of Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster. He has previously studied at the Kunstakademie Münster and British, American and Postcolonial Studies at the University of Münster.
The talk focuses on the artist‘s practice and collaborative endeavors when it comes to time-based and performative approaches.
Questions of identity, remembrance culture and hybrid ways of dealing with subjects considered high and pop culture are discussed in this talk and subsequent public question and answer session.
