Brand identity development for WASH Records. WASH specialises in underground South African electronic music, with a focus on house and techno. The record label required a basic identity and collateral, but also had appetite for merchandise production. To this end we produced several designs ranging from affordable promotional gifts to exquisite limited edition items.
The W of WASH was developed to have the same stark industrial qualities of a laundry symbol. This rigid wordmark is combined with warped scan art graphics and washes of ink and colour to reference water and detergent.
