The lead lighting designer noticed my illustration work on my Instagram account and asked if I would be interested in working on some of the scenic components.

With his detailed 3d cad diagrams we looked at the static wall components.  Stone wall surfaces with foliage that come to life in the dark was the concept.  Alex did some development with special paint that responds to ultraviolet light.

We came up with a plan to vectorize the dozens of various scenic wall element artwork for printing.  This technique allowed for small file sizes and flexibility (which was key producing overseas in China).   Using custom Goro brushes in Photoshop to simulate the UV paint, I demonstrated a painted look for the night mode of the game where the UV lights trigger the paint causing a glowing foliage effect similar to the movie Avatar.
