Light and Shadow

During my MA studied I explored the triangle shape, which pointed me to examine the role of light and shadow around me. I have focused on shadows on a white wall on a terrace. I took several photos and timelapse videos to see how it is changing during the day. I found that cloudy days were more interesting for recording because then the shadow and light turned a lot. Shadows could also represent some passing moments; sometimes, they seemed a bit sad to me. They are a moment of disappearing.

One chapter from my project was photograms, which are a great example to understand how different materials and light works. It depends just on the luminous exposition and time. I wanted to link it with my project, so I chose a few of my photos and decided to remake them by using photograms. The final outcome from this project was a book made with graphic elements inspired by shadows and light which I examined during the process.
