CASCOM Intranet Home - SharePoint 2010 Development

So, imagine this...

It's Thursday afternoon, and you're making the final tweaks to your site design before Monday's presentation to the Two-Star Commanding General. You think you got everything in place - and then the client completely changes the design at the very end of the day. Doesn't matter though, the site still has to be ready by the presentation Monday morning.

Talk about a challenge!

Luckily for me, the client's new design was actually pretty easy to accomplish. After creating new CSS to specify the fixed width design and other page elements, which was the bulk of the work, I sliced up the images in Photoshop CS6 and added them to the site. Then, I spent the last few hours before the presentation tweaking and polishing.

Even though this wasn't my original design (See my project: CASCOM Intranet Home - Design & Dev), I'm really proud of developing this site. The final product is clean, and it promotes the Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM) Headquarters very well, which was the intended purpose of the CASCOM Landing Page (also known as the Intranet homepage).

The screenshots below show the final working design that I developed in SharePoint 2010, as well as the Photoshop composition created by the graphic designer for the Knowledge Management Office, and the original site design in MOSS 2007.
