THE SOUND OF ART AT THE WALKER*

Created by world renowned sound designer Joseph Fraioli in partnership with Interesting Development, The Sound of Art exhibit at The Walker Museum illustrates the power of sound design. Visitors were invited to experience how a number of paintings from the permanent collection, including an O'keefe and a Hockney, could feel drastically different by switching between multiple soundtracks Faoli prepared for each artwork. A nostalgic homecoming under one soundtrack, becomes a paranoid landscape under another. In addition to designing marketing materials, an interactive companion website was created where users could experience the exhibit digitally.
