DRIVE
Made schedule of my 1st exhibition (officially) Aug-Sep 2019. So I started to draw a poster. The motivation of the exhibition was from 'Driving' bcoz my mental problem gets more seriously again and again so should make my mind for exhibition lightly. Anyways, the start was like "Driving".
I was enjoying Japanese comic book "Initial D" and also so-called "City pop" music. So main object was decided to draw vintage car.
But I didn't draw vehicle that much so fixing main outline was so difficult.
Now it is look like vintage car. Let's go for coloring.
This is for a poster so I thought red will be most attractive and also visible for everyone.
I like the combination between red and purple but it's always difficult to find reasonable match. But for now, deadline is coming so go forward.
Let's decide background. I searched many picture site like pinterest, tumblr, google and picked several buildings from them. And made layout of background.
Started to fill texture of buildings and detail points.
And more color adds.
Some dusts and look-oldness made drawings more natural. Now it's necessary for my works.
I can feel final version in my head.
Tried to put Korean words and also developed detail points on it.
It's going well but still I don't like the Korean font. Maybe I'm not used to it so I tried to change it to English word which I like.
Make the word like neon-sign coz the whole drawing look like full of vintage. So I thought one modern objective can change the mood of this drawing.
Now it's almost end. Trying to make color balance more vividly and close.
1st end of work. Now go for contrast level and color balance.
