Audimax (Kunst in Kiel, Teil 1)

During my over year stay in Kiel, I had the possibility to photograph numerous buildings and sculptures. By the end of my research stay, I decided to choose several buildings and sculptures (located on open-air) and photograph them in close-ups and during the specified time. The first chapter of this small project I devoted to the building of the Auditorium Maximum (Audimax) of the University of Kiel. This interesting building was designed by Wilhelm Nevelig and built in 1969 in the central part of the campus on Christian-Albrechts-Platz. Every day, when I worked in my office in the Institute of Prehistoric and Protohistoric Archaeology I have the possibility to observe unusual white facade of the Audimax and how it changed during different daytimes and seasons. In this gallery, I present photos which I took at the beginning of the storm on 28 July 2018.

Information concerning the designer of Audimax was taken from Lisei Ziesmer's article ‘Das Audimax‘ which was published on the University of Kiel website.
Thank you for views!
