W-bat is a portable folding underwater scooter for travel.
W-bat一款针对旅行专用的便携折叠水下推进器。
Sea scooter have become a craze in recent years, but the existing Sea scooter all have the same pain point, that is, they are too large and are generally positioned as professional diving equipment, which is not friendly to ordinary diving enthusiasts. Therefore, it is convenient to carry, which is the most urgent need of submersible enthusiasts. The purpose of our project is to transform Sea scooter from professional to recreational.
水下推进器近年成为一种热潮，但是现有推进器都存在着同一个痛点，就是体积过大，普遍定位于专业潜水设备，对普通的潜水爱好者并不友好。所以携带方便，是潜水器爱好者最迫切的需求。我们这次项目的目的就是把水下推进器从专业化变成娱乐化。
The design of W-BAT is inspired by bats, because bats can fly freely in dark and dangerous caves, and the small body of the bat can hide a pair of large-area wings, making it fly flexible and stable. This makes us think of whether the Sea scooter can be resized like a bat without affecting its flexibility.
W-BAT的设计灵感来源于蝙蝠，因为蝙蝠能在黑暗并且险要的山洞中随心所欲的飞行，并且蝙蝠小巧的身躯却能藏着一对大面积的翅膀，让它飞行灵活且稳定。从而让我们联想到潜水推进器能否像蝙蝠一样，能够随意调整体积但不影响它的灵活性。
