(pause) : poetic paintings about a place of stillness
The world likes to shout - be more, be less, go faster, do more. Seemingly, we shouldn’t go slow, do nothing, be still, be enough - simply, be.

What if you remembered the bliss contained within you?
A you-topia where you are full, quiet and calm, no matter the noise?
A pause, any moment you need.

(pause) is series of poetic paintings about a place of stillness. Inviting you to (pause), to remember where you are, who you are, why you are. By the end, you’re sent to play and continue onward, but always knowing your pause is there for you - exactly as you are.
I don’t really consider myself a writer, and I’m a diet poet at best, but words are an essential part of my creative nutrition.

I admire words like potential seeds to plant. I love how language, pictures, melodies, etc. can all work together, like this league of superheroes, saving us daily from darkness.

During a dark time in my life, I happened to turn to a page in my notebook. I had written a poem to my future self. These words found me when I really needed them.

For months to follow, they found their way into multiple sketchbooks and conversations. While grateful for many other forms of support, they evolved with me through phases of grief and growth.

They wanted to be heard, to be shared - so I decided to start listening, and painting.
I hope they find you where you are as well.

Thank you for viewing!
