Visual Identity for Rosefest.
On the 9th of August, coinciding with National Women’s Day, Shekhinah created Rosefest, a festival of fantasy that simultaneously celebrates the power of women in the South African music industry and her debut album too.
The concept behind the festival was born from Shekhinah’s platinum-selling and SAMA award winning debut album, “Rosegold”. Set against the outdoor and colourful backdrop of a carnival atmosphere, the micro-festival celebrates the music of the album, accompanied by a full live band.
I got the opportunity to create the visual identity for the festival inspired by Shekhinah herself, her music, personal style, youth culture and tattoo culture too, highlighting the strength femininity.
