A Self Portrait
For this self portrait, I wanted to return to the village where I grew up. The house you can see at the end of the bridge path, was were I lived my first ten years. The bridge inself leads to up a road connecting an old coal mine to the railway station. I have so many memories here, mostly of crossing the bridge to venture up the mountain with my Grandfather, or waiting up here for the trains to run underneath. Summers seemed to last an age back then, and the neighbourhood seemed a lot bigger.
