ANTWERPEN NOORD - Typographic map
During one week my team and I worked together on a project based on the area we’ve been assigned to, Antwerpen Noord.
The result is a typographic map of Antwerpen Noord showing of its diversity and cultures. We abused typography in many ways, designers will hate us for. Distortion, drawn, bad spacing, … . We wanted people to look at the map from nearby and discover this area and really understand how the streets of Antwerpen Noord look like, based on this typography. From a distance, you’ll still get the overall picture and see the elegance and beauty of Antwerpen Noord.
It was fun to see this project coming together beginning with on the spot research, drawing, tracing and finishing off by digitally putting it together.
