The Tale of Warli
Cushion Collection
Warli painting is a tribal art form, mostly created by the tribals of the Northern Sahyadri Range in India. The Warli culture is centered around the concept of Mother nature and  elements of nature are often focal points depicted in the paintings. Farming is their main way of life and a large source of food for the tribe. They greatly respect nature and wildlife for the resources that they provide for life. Warli artists use their clay huts as the backdrop for their paintings, similar to how ancient people used cave walls as their canvases.
This is a hand painted cushion collection made for a client.

Hand Painted Planters

These hand painted planters are a very basic depiction of the warli art form, yet it profoundly adds character to the unadorned terracotta backdrop.

Warli Wall Art

Warli art is painted on a 8' X 5' wall depicting a typical scene from the daily life on the tribals.
