Tenant Build-Out with Outside Cafe'
The scope for this tenant build-out project was to design a warm and inviting bakery that specializes in international breads and pastries. The use of earth tones, natural materials, light and textures work together creating a comfortable environment. The large windows filter in daylight allowing a wash of changing natural light throughout the day. The smooth burnished finish of the venetian-plaster coffered ceilings helps to bounce light around the space. The profiles of the plaster columns take their form from the existing stone exterior columns. By utilizing bricks with varied colors and textures, the interior ambiance takes on an ageless character emulating the classical details throughout the building. The simple lines of the display cases, tables, leather dining chairs and lighting fixtures provide a lighter contrast to the classical architectural elements. The outdoor café area can be seen through the side windows with sun shading being provided by retractable awnings.
