I designed the 20-page Nerdonomicon for the 2019 Kansas City Nerdlesque Festival as a guide to the festival for visitors and performers alike. Through this tool, patrons easily previewed the week's activities, learned about workshops, and most importantly networked with the performers they most admired from each show. One of the ways KCNF attracts such a large audience is through the production value of their collateral.

This year, the theme of the festival was "Strip like a rebel", with the theme emphasizing the political nature of burlesque in a society where our basic values as human beings are being challenged. To emphasize this point, I designed the booklet to imitate a folded up zine, complete with smudges, tears, and simulated folds. The final physical product is true to the intent of the project, and many people commented on how well it turned out. I can't wait to figure out how next year's booklet will look.
