The Daugavpils Theatre is one of the oldest in Latvia, established in 1856. It is one of the most popular in the country nowadays, with its repertoire consisting of 33 performances, some of which are presented in multiple languages. In addition to presenting its performances on stage, the theatre also does it in the building of the former fortress hospital.

The new logo of the theatre asserts that the theatre continues growing, trying new bold things, and is open to younger audience. The logo is a dynamic representation of the abbreviation DT, with elements of stage curtains, piano keys and columns at the entrance of the theatre’s building.
