And so it was with this in mind that I set out to look upon the town I now call home with cynical eyes. The honeymoon period has perhaps already ended and in its place I have started to see things that the locals have missed (or choose to miss).

The town still is special to me, my cynicism is my problem and I know this. I can take some pleasure and comfort in accepting that even the ridiculous in this place is measured and even a little quaint (well almost everything).
