Jaadin and Chadin, Grill- & Teahouse
This Grill- and Teahouse under one roof is located in the Northern district of Munich. This place is run by three siblings from Vietnam, who fled as a family from their home country to Germany after the Vietnam War. They soon realized that they've got a common goal: Giving people an understanding of their Vietnamese culture and pass on their heritage of great food. That is why the place is all about coming together and sharing different smaller dishes – this is an important part of family life and sense of community in Vietnamese culture.
That is also why the design features old family photos and playful stories about the three siblings like different kind of teas describing their character or offering special menus consisting of favorite meals from their childhood. Overlapping and overprinted graphics visualize the combining and diverse character of sharing various different meals. For printing there was a spezial technique used called risography, which is a quite old printing style from Asia allowing the use of intense (freshness, experience) and soya oil based colors (sustainability, naturalness).
