Beautiful and courageous Timothea!
Timothea is a red fox female and a new resident at the Ecomuseum zoo, since January 2018. Timothea has only three legs and it is very sad. However, she seems not to be afraid of visitors, well, much less than her companions Inola and Tokola.
Sometimes, in limping, she comes to see the visitors. Timothea is not afraid to climb rocks who are over six feet tall. I find her very beautiful and courageous.
In March 2018, I managed to photograph Inola for the first time. She was standing at the foot of the rock where Timothea was lying. I felt like she wanted to protect Timothea from visitors.
I do not know if one day I will manage to rephotograph Timothea, Inola and maybe Tokola. But I know that at this zoo, they are well treated and safe from hunters and this thought comforts me.

Timothea est une femelle renard roux et une nouvelle résidente au zoo Ecomuseum, depuis le mois de janvier 2018. Timothea n'a que trois pattes et c'est très triste. Pourtant, elle semble ne pas avoir peur des visiteurs, enfin beaucoup moins que ses compagnes Inola et Tokola.
Parfois, en boitant, elle vient voir les visiteurs. Timothea ne craint pas non plus de grimper sur les rochers qui ont plus de pieds de hauteur. Je la trouve très belle et courageuse.
Au mois de mars 2018, j'ai réussi à photographier Inola pour la première fois. Elle était debout au pied du rocher où Timothea était couchée. J'avais l'impression qu'elle voulait protéger Timothea des visiteurs.
Je ne sais pas si un jour je réussirai à rephotographier Timothea, Inola et peut-être Tokola. Mais je sais qu'à ce zoo, elles sont bien traitées et à l'abri des chasseurs et cette pensée me réconforte.

Timothea, amputated as a result of serious injuries.
Timothea decided to venture out from her den one day. Unfortunately, this kit's curious nature led her to clim on a deck chair where she promptly got her leg caught.
Someone heard her howls of pain and called for help. But as she tried to wiggle free Timothea fractured her leg in three places rendering the amputation unavoidable.
As returning to the wild with only three legs would prove too dangerous for her, Timothea came to live at the Ecomuseum Zoo where you can her play and explore happily and safely.
Timothea's fur had been shaved where her leg was amputated so that the vet could examine her.

I do not know about Tokola's story, but I know she's scared of people and hides when she sees visitors approaching. I have no good picture of her. Only bad captures of her, like this one.
Inola, Tokola et Timothea étaient toutes les trois couchées sur la neige, à l'arrière de leur habitat, loin des visiteurs. Je ne connais pas l'histoire de Tokola, mais je sais qu'elle a peur des gens et se cache lorsqu'elle voit des visiteurs approcher. Je n'ai aucune bonne photo d'elle. Seulement des mauvaises captures d'elle, comme celle-ci.
