Website Redesign into Wordpress: Freelance
Completed in 2018, This project was a website redesign plus a change in hosting accounts and platform. The pressure washing company had a static, non-responsive site (screenshot on the left). I moved the website into Wordpress, chose GoDaddy for the host, and ordered the "https" protocol. The screenshot on the right is the redesign.

Style Guide
I used Adobe Color to define the color scheme for the site, and I used colorsafe.co and webaim.org to check for text color contrast ratio for accessibility.

Building the Site
I began with a paid theme from SitePoint.com and then created a Wordpress Child theme based off of it. I used Dreamweaver and Sublime Text to edit the PHP Wordpress files quite extensively. The client and I worked together with the content strategy; opting to bring most of the content to a long homepage rather than breaking it into many pages with a long top navigation menu.
It was important to the client that potential customers could see examples of projects completed right on the home page. I added a WordPress slideshow plugin to the theme. To create the before / after slideshow for the home page, I cropped, sharpened, and did perspective adjustments on the client's own before/after photographs.

Logo Redesign
I worked with the client to redesign the logo and after several rounds of revisions similar to the one below, we decided on a very simple design that worked well at small sizes plus in the reverse.

Full sized, print ready logos were also delivered for the client's various other print projects, such as on vinyl banners.
