Teddy Hughes's profile

Rice Athletics Graphic Design Internship Summer 2019

Pictured are some facility projects that I worked on.  With the football facility wall, we wanted to be able to add to it if any other players make it to the NFL.  My part was the "Owls in the NFL."  Trey worked on the middle section and JJ was the other end.  Also pictured is a mock-up of the facility as well as the name plates.  In addition, I was fortunate enough to design a bus for this upcoming year and work on the new
swimming wall.
These are some sport specific graphics that I worked on.  They included the women's basketball non-conference schedule, the volleyball poster, a number reveal GIF of the men's basketball freshman numbers, and the football promotional schedule.
These are opendorse graphics created for specific athletes.  I did a series for players on the football team.  I also highlighted Nancy Mulkey, the nation's leading shot blocker for women's basketball.  Michelle Fokam competed at the NCAA Championships, and Evan Kravetz was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds.
Promotional Graphics
Templates
These are the templates I made.  Along with the promotional graphics, these are where I focused on typographical hierarchy.
Wallpapers
My favorite wallpaper I made during my internship at Rice is the first one that uses a drastic lighting technique.    It is a style that I enjoyed developing throughout the internship.
Miscellaneous
I used Adobe Illustrator to create a ticket pricing map for the football game against Baylor University.  For the yard sign, I used Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.  The last graphic was made in real time during the USWNT match and was posted to social media after they secured the victory.
