Ex-serviceman John Blackburn, who lives in the former coal mining community of Pontefract, believes Margaret Thatcher was a great lady, and thinks plans by local ex-miners to celebrate her death are totally immoral and wrong. John says the closure of the mines was as much to do with intransigent trade union leaders as it was the Prime Minister, and he blames all the political parties for bringing the country to its knees.
