"The Doctor Explains" Videos
We produce videos to support healthcare decision making for patients and their families.
No patient can remember everything a doctor says during an office visit, especially if the patient has just been told that he or she has a brain aneurysm or tumor. Video fosters physician expertise and establishes a relationship of trust before the patient is seen in office or afterwards to help explain to family and friends what is happening.
Our philosophy
We believe in a video style that "keeps it real" and is not overly produced. Sappy music tracks and canned actors don't pass the sniff test with patients. We film the doctor in his or her working environment.
The key to a successful patient video is the use of plain language and simple concepts. A script and storyboard are developed prior to filming. We help make complex and scary topics easy to understand.
We understand that healthcare providers are not actors. So we provide media training and tips to improve on-camera presence.
