Cólera | Primeiros Sintomas: album artwork
I was invited by EAEO label to design the project, including artwork cover and booklet, of Primeiros Sintomas album, from seminal São Paulo punk band Cólera, in activity since 1979.
Previously a CD only release, the briefing of the new vinyl issue demanded the project to refer to the original cover: an illustration based on a photo of the band. Provided with the original picture, the idea was to appropriate zine language and punk classic aesthetics to highlight a remarkable event of the group — a celebratory collage of moments rarely seen.
The pictures were printed multiple times, as well as the song titles and tracklist. All that material was then torn, wrinkled, and pasted back to be scanned and treated on Photoshop, to achieve the tactile impression I wanted to accomplish with this project.

A convite do selo EAEO, fui chamado para fazer o projeto gráfico, incluindo capa e encarte, do álbum Primeiros Sintomas da banda seminal do punk paulistano Cólera, em atividade desde 1979.
Lançado anteriormente somente em CD, o briefing pedia que o novo projeto em vinil remetesse à capa original: uma ilustração baseada na foto da banda. Provido da foto original e mais dezenas de imagens de arquivo, a ideia foi se apropriar da linguagem do zine e da estética clássica punk para marcar um acontecimento notável do grupo — uma colagem celebratória de momentos raramente vistos.
As fotos foram impressas diversas vezes, assim como os títulos e a tracklist. Todo esse material foi rasgado, amassado, colado e então digitalizado e tratado no Photoshop para atingir a sensação tátil que quis alcançar com o projeto.
