日星鑄字行創辦於1969年，至今已創立50年，專門生產鉛體文字以提供給印刷業。
而日星在當今世界裡也是最後一家繁體中文鑄字廠，保存著最完整的活版印刷文化。

In fifty years, the craftsmen have been casting types in Ri-Xing Type Foundry with mindfulness. The design frames the shapes of Chinese metal movable types as ranges of mountains, embodying RI-Xing's devotion to the craftsmanship, like piles of types in the shelves. Persistent, faithful, from the beginning to the end.
Ri-Xing Type Foundry has been manufacturing traditional Chinese movable metal types for printing since 1969 when it was founded. After fifty years, it's the only and final foundry making traditional characters in the world at the present day. Ri-Xing preserves the knowledge, technique and many machines of hot metal typesetting.
