This is a Redesign project of the character Rita from the film The Darjeeling Limited.
Here, I'll show a resume of the process i went through to redesign her costume.
Firstly, I watched the film to analyze the whole aesthetics of it; then I chose a character - Rita. Shortly after, I chose one of her scenes and costumes; then, I took the palettes from film, from scene chosen and from the costume she's wearing in this very scene. I've chosen of the palettes (the costume one) to create my version of Rita's sari. I went thru lots of research of traditional India's clothes, their patterns, their collors, made many tests, and decided to develop my own design for the fabric of her costume. After testing colours and patterns and drawings I came up with the ideal pattern and the ideal costume!
